Create a 1 - 3 minute movie with Windows Movie maker 2.6

1. Download and save the INFO SHEET
2. Gather resources (copy name/author/website on your sheet as you go!)
- 15 pictures in total
- at least 3 pictures must be found online (Use THESE WEBSITES)
- 2 audio clips (Freecorder is good for this or http://youtube-mp3.org)
- 1 video with Smart Recorder
- 2 edited pictures using picmonkey, ipiccy, or pixlr
3. Use MOVIE MAKER 2.6 to create a movie with your resources.
WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER HELP VIDEOS
IN ADDITION TO THE LIST OF RESOURCES ABOVE, YOUR VIDEO MUST HAVE:
- at least two transitions between photos or movie clips
- a title slide (Title, your name and class) - HELP VIDEO
- a credits slide (listing all the authors) - HELP VIDEO
4. When you are finished your project, convert it into a movie - HELP VIDEO
5. Fill in your rubric. Get someone else to check your work.
6. Copy your movie into Mme LeBlanc's USB drive.
7. Send an email to Mme LeBlanc (subject line - your class). Attach your completed INFO SHEET and filled out MARKING RUBRIC.

- use youtube-mp3.org to get music from youtube
- use Keepvid.com to save Youtube videos
- use online-convert.com to convert video files into WMV

Project # 1
PICTURE ASSIGNMENT - Save 5 pictures and cite each properly in a Word Document
STEP 1 - Use one of the websites that we have seen in class to find a picture that you like.
Make sure it is large enough that we can edit it later (approx 1000 X 800).

*Change the USAGE RIGHTS at the bottom of the page - to "FREE TO USE SHARE OR MODIFY"
STEP 2 - Save the picture in a PICTURE ASSIGNMENT folder inside your TECH 2013 folder.
Save the picture with a logical name.
DON'T CLOSE THE WEBSITE - YOU STILL NEED IT!!!

STEP 3 - Open a new WORD DOCUMENT (only do this the first time, afterwards use the same one)
Write the title of the picture (same as what you saved in your U drive).
Copy and paste the name of the AUTHOR (who took the picture).
Copy and paste the website address.
EXAMPLE:
Title: brown dog
Author: HiSa Hiller
Website: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Thai-Ridgeback.jpg

STEP 4 - Insert your picture into the Word document.

STEP 5 - Save your Word Document in your PICTURES ASSIGNMENT folder.

DO THESE STEPS FOR A TOTAL OF FIVE (5) PICTURES. PUT ALL PICTURES AND INFO IN THE SAME WORD DOCUMENT.
Mme LeBlanc's Tip: if you would like to, you can use BITLY to shorter the Flickr website address.

When you are finished the photo assignment, you can start playing with online photo editors. Do a Google seach for ONLINE PHOTO EDITORS and see what comes up. Try some out and find your favorites. No need to save your work, this is just for fun.
